First website in the 90s, speaker at the Chaos Communication Congress or a job in IT strategy consulting: Digital technology has always been at the core of my professional life. I am a proud early adopter of innovations, a driver of digitalization and a fan of internet culture.
Over a decade in strategy, management and technology consulting nurished my broad understanding of business needs and my deep knowledge of technology. With this background, I firmly believe that digitalization is the one most important power, skill and attitude to create growth and change the world for the better.

Policy Advisory & State Re-invention
Germany has to emerge from decades of bureaucracy, Fax-communication and complacency, to solve it's problems. And while digital technology of course isn't a solution for every problem, it is astonishing how many challenges directly and indirectly can be solved. This also comes with a change in mindset: less control, more freedom, but also more responsibility for everyone.
Just as an IT department is a service provider to a company, the government and it's administrations on all levels are service providers to the people. But there are only few examples, where a true transformation from outdated processes, technology and ways of working was possible (e.g. Kindergeldprozess of the Bundesagentur für Arbeit).
In 2025 the name of the game is real de-bureaucratization and solving the technical debt to foster growth, flexibility, security, speed and - last but not least - democracy in the digital age.
I call this endeavour "state re-invention".
